The Companion Animal Protection Society and Animal Advocates Alliance converted this pet store to the humane business model. This is an enormous victory for the animal protection movement and for animals in the Los Angeles shelter system. Now that the store has converted, homeless pets will have a chance to find loving homes. The store had been investigated and protested by the Companion Animal Protection Society and the animals were found to be from inhumane commercial breeding facilities. This movement is spreading across the country and consumer taste is evolving. Consumers now want a cruelty-free pet, not from a puppy mill. Adopt, Rescue, Save a life. We hear their cries, we are their voice.
