This is a command you MUST teach your dog. It shows him that you are dominant because you control access to the world. He will respect you more.

I did this also :). However i do have one issue..
My garden has plenty of holes in it to get through and start running on fields chasing rabbits etc.
But that wasn’t really an issue, the issue is someway my dog has taught himself to open the door lol. But he only opens it when im not there, and i’ve caught him doing it once when i was. If the door is locked, he’d jump to hit and turn the unlock with his paw, then jump to pull down the handle and open.. Smart dog i guess, but still worrys me :b

Place your dog on a lead to prevent any rushes. Simply bring the dog back in and start the process again if the dog rushes out.

If he is very aggressive you may need to seek out a dog behavior trainer. I have no experience with this sorry

@davidelij your poodle would pick it up real fast. They are suppose to be the smartest breed around. I have a xpoodle and he learnt it fast though he’s still a puppy so he whines in excitement when he’s waiting!!
