In Libertyville, Illinois, one day will be dedicated to puppy love. Woofstock, not Woodstock, will take place on Saturday, June 20 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Lambs Farm Pet Shop Lawn. There will be so many exciting activities taking place. What makes it even better is that the event is free!
Lambs Farm was founded in 1961, and it started as a small pet shop in Chicago. However, now it’s a 72-acre campus in Illinois that serves adults with developmental disabilities. Your pet can enjoy the fresh air as well as the open space to run in, so it can be a fun day dedicated to the puppy love of your life.
Woofstock will feature a consumer show with product sample and sales, so you can make sure you get the food, treats and toys that your dog loves best. Also, the Lake County’s premier Canine Couture Fashion Show presented by Suncast will be the highlight of the day.
To enter the contest, fill out the online form—do this quickly because models are taken on a first-come, first-reserved basis, as spots are limited. The first model will start strutting its couture outfit on the runway at 2:30 pm, and three winners will be announced. The first prize winner will receive a $150 gift certificate to the Lambs Farm Pet Shop, second place will receive a $100 gift certificate and third place will win a $50 gift certificate. If your pet isn’t one of the lucky ones, you might have a chance at some of the other contests and raffles that will be going on throughout the day.
Attendees might even become a part of history, because Woofstock will be unveiling the world’s largest dog biscuit. This treat is estimated to be up to 400 pounds, and your pet will even be able to sample the biscuit. How much better can a day for dogs get?
