How To Train A Rat To Fetch (Method #2)

This is yet another way of training a rat to fetch. In order for this method to work, your rat must have an item they like to stash and carry around. My rats adore eCOTRITION Hamster, Gerbil, Rat & Mouse Cheese Chews, and love to run around with them and stash them (as do many other rats). Thus, if you don’t know of any items that your rat likes to stash, these are worth a shot. Anyway, enjoy this video!

***Many Thanks to rat mom 27 ( for information about the cheese chews***

So cute! I used that method to teach my rats to fetch. Amber likes to carry and stash literally everything, so with her it was pretty easy XD

  6. Gilbert Berger says:

Your girls are so cute sometimes I wanna reach through my phone's screen and snatch them up. I'm loving my pet mice, and one of the things I want to experience is pet ratties. Which is a far cry from late last year when I had a wild rattie issue and was ready to exterminate. Even wild ones are cute (they just need a haircut).
