Mena is a lucky 9 month old spayed female who was found as a stray in the dead of winter. She was suffering from frostbite– so bad her toes caused her extreme pain. She needed help! Mena was attended to by our veterinary staff and sent to a foster home to begin her recovery. She has done really, really well in her foster home; she is so affectionate and loves being with people. She is best in a home without other pets and one with older children. Mena is very stressed out here in the shelter so we hope to adopt her from her foster home. Mena takes some time to warm up to new people & situations; her adopter will have to be patient with her as she adjusts. For more information please call 204.982-2035.
Betsy is a beautiful 4 year old gal who came in as a stray. Betsy is energetic and loves to play; she will require regular exercise to keep her at her best. She has been at the shelter since the beginning of March and is eagerly awaiting her new home. Betsy seems to like other dogs and should do well with any dog friends in her new home; after a proper introduction. Betsy is likely to flourish with a confident owner who is willing to teach her all she needs to know. This radiant lady is best suited to a home without cats or small animals and with children 12 and up. Come meet her today!
