The Chinese Dwarf Hamster

Please HAVE ANNOTATIONS ON –Important information regarding both my and your hamsters (or hamsters to-be) are listed in the annotations–
And please consider reading the description also. Thank you and enjoy the video ๐Ÿ™‚

These are my 2 Chinese dwarfs. I hope that I inspired you to purchase your own hamster!
Just so you know…
-The name “Chinese Dwarf hamster” is actually incorrect. They are commonly called this because they look very similar to the Russian dwarf hamster. I got my hamsters from PetSmart, where they called these hamsters Chinese Dwarf hamsters. Hence, the reason I will not change the title of this video.
-Like I said in the annotations, the cage that is shown is temporary for the purposes of the video. I don’t recommend anyone to purchase it because it is small and the tubes are very difficult to clean.
-Also, keeping two female hamsters together is usually fine, whereas males might fight with each other as they grow older, even if already bonded. That’s why I suggest females. Mine did very well together, but some hamsters (even females) might not like being together.
Just a suggestion… I wouldn’t get hamsters from different families and put them together.
–It’s almost certain that there will be some conflict between them, if not already bonded.

The brown Chinese hamster reminds me of my hamster Henry who died on his birthday turning 3 he died from his teeth they were too long and killed him ๐Ÿ™ my other one piglet it 3 and half years old don't clean the cage that often as it can shorten their life clean their cage every two or three weeks as i have found out! Also female Chinese dwarf hamster can fight way more than boys and they can sometimes kill each other as my friend found out boys are the friendliest to each other they may have fight but it's a play fight it never hurts one or another also they don't like being hold that much as I found out when my hamster Henry bit me!
Hope this gave you some advice

It's scared of you you should tame it and go through the steps first before picking it up. You should watch some youtube videos on how to tame it.

The cage is too small, I suggest an aquarium. ( 20 gallons ) ๐Ÿ™‚

Tip: You need to watch their diet, if you don't then they'll most likely have diabetes.

Guys, please read the description before adding another comment that the cage is too small or that Chinese dwarf hamsters are actually not dwarves. Give her a break.

I'm honestly blessed with my Chinese hamster. She is so sweet, and I got her an hour ago. She lets me hold her and already sleeps on me. She is calmer than my first hamster, Oreo, who was so tame. Also, I don't recommend a critter trail. Is ok for Chinese, as they are not as active in my opinion as most dwarfs. Also they aren't " dwarfs " they are a different type ๐Ÿ˜Šoh, and also. PLEASE, PLEASE don't keep them together. They are not dwarfs and will hurt eachother. Same with Syrians

You need a bigger cage. If you can't afford a big cage then don't get a hamster.
