The Worldwide Fido Awards will be showing on Nick at Nite this October, and your dog has the potential to be recognized as a national star. Get out your video camera so you can show the world how talented and adorable your pride and joy can be.
There are six categories (Cutest Dog, Best Trick, Best Voice, Owner Look-a-Like, Most Outrageous and Best Dressed) in which you can enter your dog. Once you upload the most impressive video of your pet, people will have the chance to vote for your dog. Six Finalists will win a trip for two plus the pet to Los Angeles, California and will appear in the 2008 Worldwide Fido Award special. Also a $20,000 grand prize will be awarded.
Check out videos of dogs that you will be up against. Some contestants have simple videos capturing their pet’s actions, while others are produced and enhanced with music and rolling credits. The competitors have many tricks up their furry sleeves.
Dazzle is a nominee for Best Trick, and she has a vivacious personality to back up her talent. Miss Phoebe Buffay, a Best Dressed nominee, is quite fetching and looks like a Hawaiian princess as she sun bathes and hangs out by the pool. Best Voice nominee Sunny might make a good back up singer some day, but she needs to practice her scales. Although Jenny, Most Outrageous nominee, has a slow start, she can surf and paddle like a pro on her boogie board.
Comment on the message boards and rave about your pet as well as other’s pets. You would be surprised what tricks and games dogs will perform out of love for their owner. The contest ends on August 9, so upload your video and tell all of your friends to vote for the Fido in your life.
