Hey I just picked up my dalmation puppy 8 weeks old and oh is he cute. I just picked up your book but delayed cuz of the hurricane . I'm having hard time to get him to walk on pavement . He just lays downs and whines and I would have to tug him up if I wanted him to move . He gets distracted eating grass a lot and doesn't want to walk . Which video would this be in? Also what should I teach him first . His name, sit, look at me , leash . I'm confused on what order to go in

Dear Zak, thank you for your videos! They are very interesting and helpful!
My dachshund puppy sometimes doesn't want to walk, when he is on the leash. He would just lie down, if he wants to change direction or sniff something. I don't want to drag him, but I want him to walk beside me. When I take the leash off and go alone, he follows me, but I can't do that all the time on a busy street. What should I do? Do you have any tips?

Has that puppy had it's tail docked? It's something I hardly see anymore and was wondering if it's really a thing that is still done? I thought dogs need their tails for communication?

    Hi George,
I would like your help with my dog Charlie. He is a very low energy dog who simply refuses to go on a walk. The only thing that I can do is hold a treat in front of his nose the whole time. I keep him on the leash all the time because every time I let him go without it he simply turns around and goes home. I want to encourage him to become more active, especially because he needs to loose weight.

Zac, I'm about 3/4 of the way through your training playlist & am loving your perspective. I'm looking to adopt sometime after/around May 2018 since I know my time will be more open since I'll have graduated & only working full time instead of being a full time student & full time job at the same time.

Since I'm a planner, I'm wondering if you have a list/calendar that helps to assist which order certain items should be trained in. Something like week-by-week breakdown?

How do you train your dog to not bark when people come in the door, but also know when an unwanted person is in your house to react?

Do you have a video on how to keep your dog from walking away with thieves. Like to attack the person attempting to take them because some guy that i do not know already managed to get my dog and walk away with him twice today. I think that the thief is test to see if he has a gps microchip or something so he can steal him if he doesn't, and im worried that i may not be able to get him back if it happens again

The lay down video you did really helped me ALOT. My little albino pitbull learned it in around 25 minuets and he's only 4 months old. I never knew that just a small piece of meat would work so well.

Hello Zak, I watched your videos and follow to teach my 16W puppy. When I have some treats on my hand (I guess he can smell), he does whatever I say, like "come", "sit", "down", "leave it" and doesn't bit the leash. If I don't have any treat, he just ignores me and bits anything he see on the street and also bits the leash when I am walking him outside. Any comment? Thanks.

Hey Zak! We just got a 10 week old puppy yesterday and have already started to use your tips to train him. We got some chicken (we just picked up a rotisserie chicken from Costco) and it seemed to work well as a high value reward. However, he threw up tonight and it was the chicken 🙁 none of his kibble was in it. How do I know when I've used too much treats and why would he be throwing up such a "high value" reward? Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!!!
