Great basic tips, however Loperamide (imodium) shouldn’t be used on dogs with risks of MDR1 mutation: colleys, shetlands, etc…Talk to your vet about it before using the drug.

I gave my Husky /German Shepherd cephalexin for a very small bite on his paw that would not fully heal he was in perfect health otherwise. I gave him the Cephalexin dose for a week and stopped the dose completely ,1 day after, he began to have diarrhea uncontrolled , that was 1 year and 5 months ago , he has NEVER had a normal movement since ,it is uncontollable and unsanitary but I am trying to keep up the care , I would like to know about Cephalexin , Did IT cause this did my Vet ruin my dog?
