I have a question. My guinea pig won’t eat the food that I give her. When I give her pellots, she’ll eat a smidge but always knocks it over, when I give her fruits and veggies she’ll only eat a smidge but basically ignore it. The only thing that that she will eat is the newspaper at the bottome of the box, the bedding and she”ll chew on the box. But mostly the newspaper. She does eat timothy hay. She’d sometimes knock down the water. Why does she do this and how can I stop her from doing this.

I’m a new Guinea Pig Owner, and I have a question about feeding them…
DO I have to put big amount of food in their cages once aday or I should feed them several times with only few vegies pieces each time?
and one last thing, I have noticed that my Guinea Pig is eating too much, she does not stop eating as long as her plate is full of food… is this natural or I have to reduce the amount of her meal?

@guineapiglover7799 Yes, but freeze it first. When a bag gets half-empty, get a new bag and freeze it. When the original bag is empty, get the other bag out.

@ds409 You should give them UNLIMITED timothy hay.
Feed them 1/8 cup of pellets a day. When giving veggies only give one cup a day.
