Ever wonder what your pets do when you leave them in charge of the house while you go on vacation? While you are lying on the beach soaking up the sun or cruising down a snow-capped mountain, your pet might be eating your furniture, peeing on your rug or worse not eating or drinking enough food every day. But pet owners now have a clever trick, which enables them to see their pet 24 hours a day with the help of a webcam.
Parting with your pet can leave you feeling worried, sad, nervous, regretful, etc., which doesn’t leave you much room to feel relaxed during your vacation. Instead of having a friend or family member watch your pet, you might have to resort to a kennel. Either way, you will still be thinking about how your baby is being treated.
Animal abuse even happens in kennels. For example, two months ago a Chihuahua was mauled to death in Precious Pups Kennels located in Maryland, and this case is still pending. More recently, Anita Smith pleaded guilty to animal neglect and abuse that occurred in her kennel called Colorow Kennels in Colorado. Abuse does not occur in all kennels, but you can never be too careful, which is why webcams come in handy. Not only can webcams help ease your concerns, they also keep the pet handlers on their on toes. If they fail to properly care for your pet, they can’t get away with it since you have documented evidence of their actions.
Accidents can happen at home too. Even if you have an independent cat who drinks and eats out of self-feed containers, you never know if they might get sick or have a difficult time dealing with your absence. Setting up a webcam enables you to monitor them, and if something is wrong, you can have a friend or relative go to your house if an emergency arises.
