Really its just that some breeds take longer to train. Bulldogs have competed in ACK competitions.. heeling, sit, stay and even retrieving dun bells with the owners scent on them. Yes, they can be lethargic and are not as active as most dogs but they can still be trained..even high levels that are necessary for ACK competitions

yes if your talking dog behaviour but that is irrelevant in dog TRAINING he is teaching the dog a trick…dog TRAINING has nothing to do with dog BEHAVIOUR dog BEHAVIOUR is mainly used for rehabilitations etc.

Fabletv a trick is a behavior. Sitting is a behavior, etc. The only thing I would add to this video is allowing the dog to be trained by targeting, offering behaviors on it’s own, or shaping the behavior. This way you don’t need to fade your food lure.

Our dog HATES physical affection while working. Food and toys really do the trick for him.

@b5150b2012 That’s not true at all. Thats the owner’s failure to fade the treat. Treats are used to TEACH a behavior only. After the dog learns the behavior the reward changes to verbal or physical praise

True! Everyone says you can’t train huskies, two of my classmates have huskies
(brothers) and in a few weeks they’ll be ready to compete for their Companion Dog title. One of them is more obedient than my border collie!

@BellaMrdch The leerburg website helped me out a lot with my training. They are very accomplished trainers. They have Michael ellis in my opinion probably one of the best trainers in the world. Be carefull choosing a trainer. I took one of my dogs for a training bootcamp and they really made my dog very inactive and she was actually developing more problem. You can find a lot of answers to what ever problem you have. Good luck and hope the website helps.
