    @txlakergirl88 train “drop it” can usually use a treat trade technique

    “Trade you a treat for the toy”

    My 6 month old aussie wont get the ball in his mouth unless he thinks our older dog is going to chase him and steal it from him. If our older dog isnt around, we throw the ball.. he goes after it and either “catches” it in his paws and then walks away or puts it in his mouth for a split second and then drops it before I can even get it back. I tried using treats but now all he focuses on is whats in my hand. So he will definately chase it but doesnt put it in his mouth or barely does. Help!

    @txlakergirl88 you gotta teach him the drop command separately and then apply it during fetch
