that is the quick and easy way to make your dog leash reactive! the better way would be to work from a distance and gradually move closer to the distraction….

Yes, people take their DOGS for walks. You have to practice good manners when walking at some point in the dogs life. If you don’t you’re asking for an unpleasant experience for you… the master (and people passing) whenever you go in any public area with your dog. Dogs need to know rules first and foremost.

Once they understand the rules, then let them sniff and enjoy their walk. I bet you’re the type of person that doesn’t train your “precious baby” manners because it might hurt his/her feelings. Dogs are to be loved but you arent doing anyone favors by allowing them to be unruly in public. A GOOD dog owner is a responsible one that takes the time to work with, and ofcourse love and care for them.

Thanks Ryan !!! … My Labrador Retriever gets very distracted while we’re walking, I swear he has ADD :)… Now I know how to deal with this problem, I wasn’t sure if him sniffing the ground was wrong for him to do, so thank you for confirming that for me !!! Keep up the good work 😉
