@Popodopoliz wtf is a dush? clearly you have no idea what you’re talking about, and you’ve probably never even owned a dog. even if you have owned, or do own a dog, I can bet on my life that they’re out of control or the boss of you.

did he say this can be dangerous ? your dog may not summit n stricke you i would not recommend doing this with a adult dog or a big breed unless you really really really are sure your dog may not fight back

I would like to know if you have EVER seen “dogs in the Wild”? Wild animals of the canine species KILL each other if they grab necks, they do not gently or not so gently lay them on their side as you so kindly did. Your dog fought you because he thought you were going to KILL him in the primitive part of his brain. You are lucky You didn’t end up in hospital. Stop watching TV and read a book! (training and learning since 1969)

@marleeny12 ya. Um…don’t do it! This is dangerous and stupid. a girl tried that with my dog once(without my permission) and he nearly took her face off. And he’s a pretty good dog. This does not teach a dog anything except that you are dangerous and he can’t trust you. Did you see this guys dog look at him afterward? He’s clearly terrified of his “master”. Is that the relationship you want with your dog?

@MishyLish Ugh…have you ever watched The Dog Whisperer? Look at his dogs when he walks into the yard. See them cower? See them shy away from him? Do you see any of them that look even remotely happy to see him? Pfft…I don’t own dogs so I can dominate them and make them afraid of me. My dogs listen to me because it means good things will happen for them and nothing good will happen if they don’t. Not because if they misbehave I’ll flip them on their backs and scare the crap out of them

@marleeny12 Don’t grab the neck, grab dog’s body and do not stand up until he calms.

Do you not see how his tail is tucked???

YOU DO NOT EVER PHYSICALLY FORCE YOUR DOG TO DO ANYTHING UNLESS YOU ARE PULLING THEM AWAY FROM SOMETHING

One day they will snap on you, it’s a constant struggle for alpha male

I would not take dog training advice from a man who has to push his dog’s butt to the floor in order for him to sit. The alpha roll can be effective in certain cases, but you should not do this on your own, it’s highly dangerous. It’s NOT something you’d do because Fido did not come when you called him or he refused to fetch.

My Belgian Malinois would not like that too much and these old ways are effecting new dog owners into thinking that they can do this and end up with aggressive dogs. DOGS ARE SOCIAL ANIMALS NOT PACK ANIMALS ANYMORE I treat my dog with all the love in the world and when I call his name and make him sit and pay attention to me he nows its wrong stops the undesired behavior because of respect. A german shepherd owner attempted this and had her face ruined when the dog attacked back

its bullying for the dog ! cuz if a goes on his back he sumits if you out your hand on its neck thats like the most vuable spot its a way how to scare the dog into sumiting you . you ever see that alot of predaters kill the animals by snaping or biting its neck ?

First, dogs are NOT pack animals; second, even wolves don’t put other wolves on their backs unless they mean to kill them, and dogs never do this; third, that dog was growling and showing a whale eye, and that dude was near to being bitten; fourth, numeours studies have shown clearly that using force on dogs only makes their behavior worse, and it undermines their relationship with you. This guy is a retard who has watched way too much Cesar Milan. “Dominance’ theory is BS.

my dog automatically shows me her belly if she has done wrong. I never had to put her there myself. he is missing a lot of body language cues those dogs are giving him. There is a calm nervousness about them. he is going to get bit.

The Monks of New Skete originally recommended this and in a later edition of their book told people NOT to after having many reports back from owners whose dogs had bitten them. Luckily you’ve got a pair of well adjusted pit bulls, a more fearful or dominant dog would’ve bitten you. Wolves do NOT place other wolves into this submissive posture, the other wolf does it of their own volition, just as dogs do. This is a really good way to get yourself bit by a more assertive dog.
