Shelties are wonderful & I wouldn’t have it any other way! Shelties seem to recognize other dogs of the same breed even when mixed with other dogs and favor them at least with the dogs I’ve seen! My shelties don’t bark at all (maybe a few times a day) and if they do it’s as an alarm (loud noise), they want out or are excited and playing! No complaints from me! GREAT VIDEOS!

Sheltie’s are a awesome dog we own a 2yr old Blue Merle named Tyke and he saved my fiancee when he took a hypoglycemic attack and also alerted us to my late father in law who had a stroke and we didn’t know. AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE DOGS wont have any other dog.

our shetland sheepdog died earlier this years, 13 years of age.

Brilliant dog, and about to get another one, just waiting for it to be born.

My dog is evil!! When ever you try to teach it something, it takes it as an insult and gets pissed off! Still love it tho!

I had a beautiful Sheltie. Lost her after 16 years. She was the best friend you could ever have. Cannot recommend the breed more. Miss my girl so much.

I know people say it varies, and I know it does, but do they GENERALLY get along OK with cats?

@mileyfan98 Yes they do and it generally tends to be the cats that don’t get along with them and no matter how mean the cat is to the sheltie the sheltie will always try to get along with cat.
