@Prdingo I don’t think your MinPin has a ”Serious Problem.” All the owners of MinPin’s that I have talked too told me that thier MinPin’s bark and goes crazy if they see another dog they are not use to. I have two MinPin’s and they both do the same thing around dogs they dont know.. but around dogs they do know they dont bark. You can train and teach your MinPin NOT to go after dogs though. I think it is just in the MinPin’s blood to be very protective, curious, fast, strong, barky dogs. 🙂

@anneelizabeth76 I think mostly ALL MinPin’s are aggressive. They are naturally protective and they tend to bark and try to chase/fight other dogs they DON’T know. They are just trying to protect you. I have a male MinPin that is the same way towards animals he dont know but when he sees animals he does know he is calm. You can train/teach them not to attack other animals though.

@NikAndLex1 I agree, my min pin is calm with other dogs she knows but she has to really know them well in order to be calm. An even bigger challenge with my dog is she chases after children, especially small noisy ones and scares the hell out of them. My dog would never bite and she never has but she has made several kids cry in fear. I can’t let her off the leash anywhere there is a chance of children being around.

I have a min pin and a full size doberman! Guess what, the min pin is the boss and will slap him around everytime she gets mad at him. If she says “jump”, he says “how high.” Both are sweet dogs.

my min pin is a mix with an unknown dog his coat is longer than it should be and no matter how much we try he always barks at the stupidest things like once my hand slipped and a rubber ball fell on the floor he started barking he’s great and all but it gets on my parents nerves.. also if someone on the T.V. knocks he barks and he’s REALLY protective which is funny bcause during the night time if he heres somthing he’ll bark and if i try to get up to see what it was he’ll put his paws on me!!!!

We have 6 min pins and i found it necessary that they all listen to their own name.
So i did my best and a lot off patience but the result is pretty amazing.
Look at miniature pinchers listening on youtube.
Thank you for the tip on your video.

@AnzoEggsidedYo its a matter of training, but it takes a lot of patience and you must be very calm and consequent. Watch on youtube at “miniature pinschers listening”

I have 2 min pins. I crate trained mine. (small crate first) pups don’t like to lay in poop. they wimper, take them outside to potty & praise them. Mine sleep in their crate every night (big crate now) crates are not punishment. they are a subborn breed (have patience) I trained mine to come when I whistle and hold up my hand, then I give them a treat. I did this for their safety. It will stop mine in their tracks. They love to cuddle & be under a blanket. High energy, grooming low maintance
