http://www.facebook.com/TheZakGeorge This is a MUST for anyone new to dog training, or anyone who has reached a plateau. Dog training should not be about dom…
I prefer to train high energy dogs but I prefer to live with a lower energy
dog lol. High energy dogs can just give you so much when you’re training
where a low energy dog might not. Especially certain behaviors like
spinning are easier to get out of a high energy dog.
Do a google search and find a good professional trainer in your town ASAP.
These behaviors in a dog that young indicate some serious issues that will
escalate over time. You need professional help. You can also contact your
local SPCA for free workshops & the SPCA website for help with issues with
your dog. Go to the library & check out books or videos. It is imperative
you start working with him now!!!!! Watch KikoPup videos on Youtube. Good
luck!
just about to get a new puppy and so beyond excited! I have watched all
your videos through and through to learn as much extra info as I can, but
do you have any extra tips you want to throw out? I’ve rescued, and
fostered multiple dogs before, but never from such a young age!
I need help. My puppy, now a little over two months old, is very mouthy and
almost aggressive. I got him from a backyard breeder, at four weeks old, i
know i made a huge mistake by doing that but i didn’t at the time. When i
try to hold him next to me or pick him up he struggles to get away, opens
his mouth trying to bite and growls. When he plays he always bites my feet
ankles, and when i try to stop him, hands. Sometimes when i as much as try
to pet him he turns his head to nip at me.
Whenever i had friends over my dog just would not stop barking the whole
time people were in my house!! Reaching the end of my teather i looked
online and found onlinedogtraining.us – their online traning program really
helped my situation, and now i can have a drink with my friends in peace!!
My jack russell just wouldn;t listen to a single thing i told him. Wee’d
everywhere , wouldn’t even sit. Then i tried onlinedogtraining.us , after a
week or so and following their step by step guides i couldn’t believe he
actually understood “sit” May seem a simple task for all you but for me it
was awesome !
Zak, Love these video’s! My German Sheppard black lab mix is 9 weeks old
right now we have started on some basics. How old should we be starting
basic training? This seemed so much easier when I had an older dog with me
but now it is just us and the puppy.
Zak, thank you so much for your videos. I have a 3 year old Boxer/Black Lab
(Dakota) mix who is somewhat trained and we just adopted a 3 month old
Boxer/??? (Abby) mix today who is absolutely adorable! We have decided to
do more training with both of these dogs. Would it be better to train them
separately or together? I’m sorry if you’ve answered this question in the
past, but I just found your channel.
Mines a H.E. dog but his training is coming along nicely now. I am using
mostly Zaks videos and methods with a few of my own thrown in only because
sometimes I feel I know what my pups going to respond to better. But am
loving these vids keep em comin Zak xxx
My high energy Boxer gets very excited to see people and jumps all over
them and runs circles around the room. I have to hold him down with my
whole body! He is very smart and when we are alone together he will do all
kinds of tricks for me, but he can’t seem to control his excitement.
How do you work with non-hyper dogs? I have been trying to teach my
girlfriends dog (silky X) but it doesn’t pay attention, and doesn’t seem
highly motivated by food.
Hey Zak, I love your videos and am happy to say that through your advice
Marley (the dog of the house, a Chihuahua) has learned some mighty cute
tricks! However, she gets anxiety sometimes when we’re out – specifically
at PetSmart – and she shakes like a leaf and tucks her tail. I was
wondering if you could do a video on dog anxiety and whether or not you
like products such as the ThunderShirt for anxiety relief. Thanks for
everything you do! 🙂
Hey Zak, just wanted to start off by saying I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS! I’ve
watched almost all of them. Everything you say is so true and right for my
puppy. I have a 5 and a half month old Sheltie puppy. He is super smart
INSIDE but the minute we walk out the door he barks and jumps on children
and adults. Small children want to pet him because he is cute but he jumps
on top of them. your methods work for him indoors but he ignores everything
I say when we get outside even food doesn’t work.
I hear this all of the time from other trainers! I find that people,
especially trainers, tend to forget how they teach a young child when it
comes to teaching a dog. The process is so remarkably similar. All of this
over thinking when it comes to teaching your dog to look at you really
doesn’t make sense to me,. At the end of the day, when I ask my dog for
their attention, I want to get it. This is the most direct path to that
goal for most dogs.
Hi Zak! I really like what you’re doing with dogs and people. But this
thing of looking in the eyes, I don’t like it, sorry! Because for me, look
in the eyes is an important communicating signal between dogs and humans; I
would not put it on a signal. For example, I have the impression that
Biscuit is not looking in your eyes at the beginning, BUT he’s
communicating something to you, while NOT looking in your eyes! Does it
make any sense? 🙂 Anyway, thanks for all what you’re doing for dogs!
My dog is only a year old and she don’t know any tricks at all she’s very
hyper and she’s the first dog I ever had so I don’t know what to do at all
can you give me some advice and does it matter that she’s a Labrador
retriever

Love this video. My dogs are very high energy and I have soo much fun with
them. They can try my nerves but it is good practice to teach me patients.
Dogs Are Cute
I totally agree with you Zak, it just like training a young child. Dogs are
very adorable as kids. Do not spoil them.

about dog digging.
