Dog Parks can be great for training! (HERO HD camera)

I just found this pet related video on YouTube … and thought you might enjoy it!

YouTube Description

www.sitmeanssit.com Having control of your dog off leash and around distractions can make public dog parks not only a great place for your dog to play, but you can also get some training and exercise in as well. Nothing is more realistic than unplanned or non-patterned distraction. This is a very good indication of real life because you cannot control the environment here at all, so it’s good to be able to control your dog.

What do you think?

I have to respectfully disagree with you here Fred. Dog parks, at least the ones I have seen, are horrible places. They are dirty as hell and full of careless owners and untrained dogs with no recall.
Also it depends on what sort of dog you have. IMO a dog park is no place for bull breeds. No matter who starts the fight it is always the bull breed of “dangerous dog” that will get the blame and likely end up getting put to sleep.

@fredhassen No dice. I own two bull breeds that I can control fairly well but I can’t control the behavior of another persons dog. I have had too many leashed dog try to fight/mount my dogs. I won’t take them in an area where there are a lot of off leash dogs. I can control Boss and Patty pretty good but I can’t control the behavior of a strangers dog. Also bull breeds tend to dislike being mounted/dominated by random dogs and that is what I see a lot of in my local dog park.

Respond to this video…Here is a vid I made in December about having bull breeds around random dogs.
Possibly MSFW because I was angry about some lady letting her dogs off leash near mine.
