November is Adopt-A-Senior-Pet Month! According to a Petfinder.com survey, 30% of shelters and rescue groups said older pets are the hardest to find homes for. The site, which helps unite adoptable pets with people who are looking, currently lists 14,700 senior pets who are looking for their forever homes.

So what are the benefits of bringing home a senior pet? Well, for starters, a senior pet’s personality has already fully developed, so you’ll know if he or she is a good fit for your family, according to Petfinder. You can also guarantee the pet will fit into your household because they are fully grown, and they are perfectly content to relax in your company, versus a younger pet that is likely to be rambunctious and get into things. At the end of the day, because senior pets are some of the hardest to find homes for, you’re truly saving a life.

In observance of Adopt-A-Senior-Pet Month, we put together the following list of cool pet products. Whether you are an existing pet owner, considering adopting a furry friend or know an animal lover, the following products make great additions to any pet household.

Ottoman Pet Bed
Nothing goes better with rest and relaxation than knowing that your best friend is also experiencing the same comfort. The ottoman pet bed provides comfort for both you and your small pet, while also adding a stylish piece of furniture to your collection. This piece is great for pet owners who need to save a little space, but still desire to provide comfort for their small dog (15 pounds or less).

Doggy Cupcakes
Peanut-butter-banana-flavored doggy cupcakes are the perfect treat for your companion and his or her friends. Bring them out for birthday parties and other celebrations, or as a simple way to show your pal you love them. If you are planning to adopt a dog, doggy cupcakes are a great way to welcome the new addition to your family!

Pampering Products
Joyful Canine makes a line of medicinal and pampering products for canine friends, including anti-fungal salve, joint rub, hot spot healing oil and soothing skin spray. The salve helps clear fungal infections; the joint rub is a gentle massage oil that soothes sore muscles, arthritis, hip dysplasia and sprains; the healing oil heals painful spots and open wounds; and the soothing skin spray helps relieve itchy, dry skin. All products are natural and organic.

Wedding Attire
For pets who are truly members of the family, it isn’t uncommon for them to take on the role of “ring bearer” in a wedding service. Nifty ring bearer costumes enable your furry friend to securely deliver the prized rings in a stunning tux. Pet weddings have also become increasingly popular, but what’s a pet wedding without the proper attire? Bride, ring bearer costumes and bridal collars are available for a wedding ceremony your friends and family will never forget.

Glow-in-the-Dark Leash
A walk is usually the highlight of the day for most dogs (following meal time, of course). The added visual stimulation from the glow-in-the-dark leash will make your dog even more eager to take daily walks. Additionally, regular exercise is important for both you and your pet, but sometimes it can be difficult to squeeze in a walk before it gets dark. The glow-in-the-dark dog leash will keep you and your best friend visible and safe on walks after sunset. The leash is more than 4 feet long (52 inches), has a triangle, swivel hook handle with padding for added comfort and is washing machine safe.
