4 million puppies are bred each year in puppy mills. They are shipped cross-country to pet stores to be sold. Buying these puppies from pet stores only encourages the puppy mills. 4-5 million dogs die each year at animal shelters because they’re not adopted. That’s about 12000 dogs a day. So why do we give money to the wretched puppy mills when we could save a life by adopting? Adopt, don’t shop.
