Tease – New PetLvr BETA Template Is Up

I’ve been working on the new design for ages!

Okay .. maybe not for ages, but in my head I have been working on a few projects and the redesign of this website was one of the top 3 projects. I first started PetLvr blog back in May 2005 and was using free wordpress themes that I have grown accustomed at modifying over the years. For archival purposes only, I first engaged to create a customized template back in December 2006 but officially, the “HART-Empire Network” themed template went live February 10, 2008 around all my sites.

For this blog, I have decided to give the “Thesis” theme a try …

I will be documenting how I feel about this template, and what I did and how I might have been doing things related to this theme over on http://HART-Empire.com blog eventually, so watch out for that .. oh, and that above banner is an affiliate link (figured that I may as well post it just in case you were thinking of getting this theme too! :D)

QUESTION: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS NEW TEMPLATE?

(I’m asking everybody! Feel free to chime in down in the comments with any suggestions or problems or things you like or things you hate or anything like that)

I like this new template. It loads quickly and that’s always a good thing for us impatient types who don’t like waiting. However, the top of the sidebar is a huge “white space” and the “Advertise here” bullets are showing on the front page. I assume they won’t after you actually place ads in them.

Hmmm .. the white space above it is a 300×250 spot ad media space … I suppose it would be white space if you have ads disabled. I wonder if there is a way to detect and just place an image there when the reader does that?

And, it would be nice to have sponsors of this blog. It is self service and discounted for longer terms.

    Thanks for comments!
