@MrJeiel1 the idea is not that you let them starve. the idea is that when they do tricks they get a treat as a reward for it. but the food they have for breakfast lunch and dinner is just normal food. they arent being starved, use your goddamn brain next time.

Obviously she feeds her bird when she isnt training it to talk. Your comment just shows that you are very incompetant. Great work jamie. I used to have a rose breasted parrot like that who loved to whistle songs!

Okay, so how would I give my bird a treat? because people always say the breakfast lunch and dinner thing.. but my bird helps himself to food, like I make sure the food bowl is always full all the time, so he can eat when hes hungry, ( I have a Nanday conure) so how would I give him breakfast lunch and dinner? just give him a little bit of food at every meal? or what? and if I can’t do that, what treats are good? do they sell treats? because fruit and veggies don’t work on him, Thank You!!

i don’t believe its dangerous, i have a senegal and he sits on my shoulder all the time. even if their’s a loud noise he doesn’t lunge at me. guess it all depends on the parrot
