Last week on February 11-12, 2008 was the 132nd Westminster Kennel Club Annual Dog Show, and I’m sad to say that a Papillon dog did *not* win the “Best In Show” this year .. again .. and, as I feared (and the same with 2007 and 2006 Dog Shows) .. Maxxie and Sophie were not amused!
Anyway … Here is the list of winning dog breeds for each of the 7 groups

If you were unaware, the way the dog show works is that many dogs compete in a specific breed class, and the winning dogs all compete in each of the 7 groups. The 7 winners of each of these groups (listed above) are the only ones that compete for the Grand Prize .. “Best In Show”
The 2008 Best In Show Trophy was awarded to “Ch K-Run’s Park Me In First,” a.k.a. “Uno,”
a Beagle, 15 Inch.

FOUR NEW BREEDS INTRODUCED AT THE 132nd DOG SHOW
Although it was the 132nd Annual Westminster Kennel Dog Show .. and set with tradition, there was still 4 new dog breeds that were allowed to compete this year, according to the WKC page..

2. TIBETAN MASTIFF – WORKING GROUP
3. BEAUCERON – HERDING GROUP
