I just got two new ratties. I wanted to know how long does it take them to fully learn a trick? A day? Two? My rats are small sized does she matter for learning tricks?
hay, im a new rat owner and ive had my rat for 4 days now (i got here at 4 weeks old) and sadly she was the only one left so i had to get her alone (i plan to adopt a half-sister in about 2 weeks). as i said before ive had her for 4 days now and she is barely eating or drinking, only sticks to a corner of her cage, and freezes every time i even look at her let alone try to interact with her (some times when trying to feed her from my hand she might sniff but not nibble). is this normal for our situation and what advice would you give me to get her to the point where she can just chill on my sholder?
my rats are about 9 months old. very skiddish…I've had them since they were babies. I'm not sure why they are so skiddish. but on a good day I have tried to teach them some tricks. which they know to stand. but most days they give up after I try to teach the new trick after a few trys. how do you keep them so into it? any advice?
