@zakgeorge21 Yeah I know my family has made it a habit of any time we are looking to get a new pet we go to shelter’s before anything else. Hopefully as my dog gets older and a little more layed back I’ll get a new one and a shelter dog will be my first option.

This video is GREAT, Zak. I’ve worked for a shelter for a few years now, and my heart broke a little thinking about how we get caught up with our own problems, and forget the animals…

I adopted my dog (a mutt) from a local shelter! I highly recommend adoption over purchasing them at a pet shop or from breeders. Adopted dogs, regardless of their breed, are very loving, and we should give them a chance!

I’m only a 13 year old girl, but every time I see a stray or homeless animal, I try with all my power to get them to a a shelter and I have succeed, but it’s heart breaking when i don’t.
And I’ve rescued and adopted 3 animals this year =) Amazing pets

I like how you love your animals and animals in general but aren’t a PETA nut. I hate people like that, and people more importantly that support PETA and really don’t know what they are supporting which is terrorism basically. People that don’t know what I’m talking about should do their research. But I applaud your non-fanatical attempts to raise awareness and still be an intelligent individual when doing so.
