Happy Thanksgiving Day Weekend

Happy Thanksgiving To My Fellow Canadians!

Although I’m not too thankful of all the wet snowfall we received on Friday here in Winnipeg, I’m thankful that we should have lots of turkey and leftovers next week! We just don’t eat as much as we used to .. but, we always seem to cook as much 😀

In Canada – Thanksgiving Holiday falls on the second Monday in October and it is a chance for people to give thanks for a good harvest and other fortunes in the past year. This year we celebrate it this Monday October 12, 2009.

In United States – Thanksgiving Holiday falls on the fourth Thursday of November and is celebrated in remembrance of the pilgrims and in order to give thanks. This year they celebrate it on Thursday November 26, 2009.

Thanksgiving Wishes

May your stuffing be tasty ..
May your turkey be plump ..
May your potatoes and gravy ..
Have never a lump ..

May your yams be delicious ..
And your pies take the prize ..
And may your Thanksgiving dinner ..
Stay off your thighs!
