fantastic as a victim of an ear surgery at a young age it is important that this information is common knowledge.

The doctor wanted to cut out both ears but was only given permission to do one. I have had no problems on the non operated ear but the operated one has been permanently infected and deafened. I used vinegar in the mess that the surgeon left and it worked, I also tried some drops but they gave me a fungal infection. I also use olive oil and a cotton wool ball to draw out debris.

Olive oil helps dirt and debris (or ear wax in humans) get out faster
I also hear that garlic oil (garlic and olive oil ) works great for ear infections in humans but Im not sure if it works on dogs.

I have 2 Shih Tzu and I took a look at their ears today and it was all clotted with greasy hairballs and it was full of black wax. I cleaned it up with Q-tips and it came out so nasty, it had a musty odor. I also heard a lot of mushy sounds, I am letting my dogs hair grow long so do you think I should cut my dogs hair since this might have happened since I never dried its ears? Or should I still let it grow, apply the medication and when I wash him put cotton balls inside of his ears?
